Common, widespread breeder. Breeds in a wide variety of forests and wooded habitats, from lowlands to hills. Large numbers breed in gardens, parks, cemeteries, orchards. Both the breeding (1999–2018: 3.4 ± 0.5%, p<0.01) and the wintering (2000–2018: 2.5 ± 1.3%, p<0.05) population increased moderately. Mainly resident.
